“The first one now will later be last.”
In my lifetime I have felt like I was on top of the world, and I have felt lower than a snake’s belly. God has a way of knocking me to my knees if I get too “uppity.” He humbles me out. “Lord, don’t give me too much and don’t give me too little, give me just enough.” Of everything.
