I used to pray … all day long
Till I found myself, and got so strong
I needed no one … so I thought
And all my praying … I forgot

The golden rule is not make love to thy neighbor
It ain’t steal from the rich so we don’t have to labor
Honor your father and your mother
For a real challenge …”Love one another … right now”

It began way back when
In the very beginnin’
When Adam and Eve turned to sinnin’
As long as we can breathe … it ain’t too late
We can turn our minds to love and away from hate
