the first “Carpenter Of Peace”
Was taken in His prime
It had to be that way
Though he committed no crime
If you’re lookin’ for an idol
Give Jesus a try
He can help us now
And even when we die

My Daily Meds: April 18
One day we were traveling behind a full sized van. It ran over a snapping turtle. I told our driver to pull over. I put the wounded but very much alive turtle in the trunk and told our driver to go to Robins Pond.
We parked. I tried to take the turtle out of the trunk but it would not let me. Finally, I grabbed the tail and pushed it forward and it let go. I plopped it down on the beach about five feet from the water. It turned its whole body around and moved its head back and forth as if it were amazed and was thanking us for bringing it there. It then turned back around, ran into the water and swam away. Oh, yeah! Tell me animals don’t have feelings! Unbelievable.

My Daily Meds: November 22
We gotta work together
For a world of peace
Gotta turn ourselves around
Gotta sign a new lease
No one lives forever
Shouldn’t have to be told
But a lot of us will see
What it’s like to get old.
