I used to tell God something like, “I’ll never do it again!” It was true, until the next time. It was only when I stopped telling him what I will do or not do that I began to realize, I need to ask him to help me not do this or do that. Then I began to get better. I can’t say, “God I’ll never drink again!” I have to say, “God keep me away from drinking alcohol.” One day at a time.

You make my job seem so easy
But I’ll find a complaint …
It’s so hard to please me.
