It can always be worse, I used to say
It can only get better, my phrase today
A few years have passed since this way of thinkin’
And, I’m here to tell ya’, there’s life after drinkin’.
There’s always tomorrow, if that’s all you got.
And, it do get better, believe it or not.

Mr. Dumpty
We are pretty resilient. We hit bottom
and bounce right back again. My last
bottom, I went splat! I didn’t think I
was coming back. I wanted to be dead. All the king’s horses and all the
king’s men couldn’t put Humpty back
together again. But the Master can and
will if we seek his help. I seek to
be whole today. Not so much holy, but
whole. My Master, help me to be whole.
”God could and would if he is sought. -

My body is walkin’ so I guess I’ll just follow
I’ll go where it brings me … my head is so hollow.
There’s nothing ahead … None but the future
Dear world, I done my best, just can’t seem ta suit ya’.
So, I’ll move my feet, let my mind tag along …
Rememberin’ dreams and how I was wrong.
