Daily Meds

Learning to let it go. Notes on early recovery.

Humm and Strumm searching for a higher power.
  • My Daily Meds: November 17

I used to meet with Father Tim for an hour
once a week. He was my spiritual advisor.
One of them. We cam to the conclusion
for an alcoholic … “Black Outs” don’t count.
We can’t include something in our 4th and 5th
step if we don’t know what it was. This
put my mind at ease. This does not mean Go
out and have more black outs. They are a
    Done deal. (P.S.) I just hope I don’t
remember any. Then I will have to write
it down, share it with a human (sponsor,
spiritual advisor, etc.) and ask God to “take it
    away.”

I am positive today. I am happy. My tail
is waggin’, but you can’t see it. Today I
want to give back as willingly as I have
received. Thank-you for a spiritual plane. Not
one that goes up and down drastically but
a smooth one. Today. Thank-you again.

Did you ever feel like you were being
used? I hope so. That is why we were
born. So God can use us. If this is
being used, Lord keep using me. Use me up.
