  • My Daily Meds: April 5

    One time, when my daughter was very young, 5 or 6 years old, she buried a dead dragonfly. We had a funeral for it. A couple days later, she dug up the grave. I did not scold her. Instead, I asked why she dug it up. She said, “I wanted to see if God took him to heaven yet.” Good answer for a six-year-old.

    The world is against me … or so it seems
    Though I’m awake … I know it’s bad dreams
    Reality is near, of this I am sure
    And when I‘m in doubt, faith is the cure.

  • My Daily Meds: April 4

    Some parts of the country you can roll around on the grass. (Without worrying about getting bit by something.) You can look up and watch the clouds. Birds. Flying insects. I love to look for a patch of blue on a cloudy day.

    Head for the blue skies. The blue is a hole in the sky that leads to heaven. Head for the light. Aim high. Sober.
