Daily Meds

Learning to let it go. Notes on early recovery.

Humm and Strumm searching for a higher power.
  • My Daily Meds: March 30

I sat at a computer one time. It was given to us. It had never uttered or spoke a single word – just beeps and toots.

I was getting deep into a conversation with it, something to do with music. Very intense – all of a sudden the computer spoke. It said, “I think therefore I am.” I almost fell on the floor. I hope they don’t ever perfect a computer that walks around. I mean I’m pretty sure they’ve done made them already, I just hope they don’t let the computer perfect itself. God bless America.

    I had a great childhood
    For thirty years
    Then like a flash
    Came tears and fears
A harder fight I’ve never had
Just to breathe today makes me glad
Hear these words for what it’s worth
the King of Kings will return to Earth

To create means to make something out of nothing. The Higher Power is really the only one who has done this. Everything that we “create” is only made out of something that already exists. He has put everything we need right here on Earth. If we need anything else, He will supply it.

Think about clear plastic wrap. Where does it come from? Right here, probably from corn. Where did the corn come from? Where – who gave us the stars to look at? It’s all right here. Thank-You, Lord, for my sight, sound, taste, feel and smell.

    Thank-You for
    everyone and everything.
