I hit my knees when I began to crumble
Blessed are the peeps who are meek and humble
It’s a long hard road … try not to stumble

Dig real deep … down to the soul
God has the power to make us whole
For awhile it felt like I was insane
I shook it loose … I drained my brain
It’s not us … God is in command
Get it out … and take his hand

Forgive and forget … forgettin’s the hard part
Sometimes it’s like beatin’ a dead snake
Ya kill it once … but fear brings it back
Resentments, to the devil, is only a snack
He waits for a grudge to set in, then he’ll attack
Forgive and believe it … and to God we must leave it
