When I put my heart
Out in the lead
I feed my conscience
It’s what I need

(Feb 2013) Someone very dear to me celebrated one year of sobriety tonight. Days turn into weeks. Weeks turn into months. Months turn into years. One day at a time turns into a year. There is no seniority in the program. However, I feel a heck of a lot better today than when I first came in. And if you think a year is not a lot, let me see you carry a medallion around for a year that has a year less than you have * written (inscribed) on it. Then a year would mean a great deal again.
