    The Good Life

I used [to] enjoy everything. As long as I had
a beer to go with it. I even enjoyed
mowing the lawn. One Handed. The other hand
had a beer in it. When I Hit bottom,
everything had become a chore. I have found, though,
I can enjoy even mowing the lawn.

I’ll finally say, “Okay, God. Let’s go out and mow.”

soon I find myself pushing the lawnmower and talking to my
Creator. It’s not only good meditation, It is good therapy.

When we hit bottom, it is not the
end of the world. It is the end of life
as we know it. It is the beginning of
a new life. A good life. Yes, thank you
    Master, for the good life.

Presidents Day or George Washington’s Birthday

I once shook hands with one of the presidents of the United States. as we waited our turn for him to come along, I thought, “No big deal.” There were a lot of people there that wanted to shake his hand but were too far away. All of a sudden, there he was and we shook hands. I’ll be doggoned. I actually shook hands with the president.

Even though he holds a high rank and prestige, (and I do respect him) and I am just another face in the crowd, we will both end up face to face with our Creator. I pray that he and I both become the person God wants us to be.

Come to the rooms with an open mind
Open your heart, open your blind
Not everything said is for your best
Take what you need and leave the rest
You should not leave carrying a grudge
God is the only One, who has the right to judge.
