I feel so good, I can hardly stand it
My mind is free, now I command it
For so long it was confused
I‘d tell it to do something, but it refused
Now I’m awake at this late hour
What will be … will be … says my Higher Power

Some folks say my hair’s too long
If I get it cut, will that make me strong?

Ask and you shall receive
Of this saying I do believe
Ask for silver ask for gold
But you know you’ll still get old
When the time comes to meet your maker
Was I a giver or was I a taker
If you pray to do His will
I think you’ll find you get your fill.
